“Banking on teamwork”: working with ANZ National Bank’s ‘People Capital’ team

The scope

The ANZ National Bank’s ‘People Capital’ team engaged MartinJenkins to assist with an internal evaluation of the services provided by the team to the bank. The evaluation was part of an ongoing programme to enhance their overall level of service and responsiveness. The purpose of the evaluation was to determine what additional changes or development would be needed for ongoing improvement.

Our Involvement

MartinJenkins Evaluation and Research and HR teams worked together to support the bank’s internal project team. We developed an evaluation methodology, including the design of workshops and structured interviews, to enable the project team to gather relevant information to measure their performance and identify improvements. We ran internal workshops and interviewed People Capital staff, who then used the same interview process to gather information from senior managers across the bank.

The Outcome

A rigorous and thorough evaluation was undertaken which enabled the Bank to gain quality information to guide their future direction.

We were able to combine our extensive skills and experience in HR and evaluation to ensure a more rigorous and thorough analysis of the issues than would have been achieved from a purely HR or evaluation approach. This provided greater clarity around what the People Capital team needed to do.
