HR Strategy

Evaluations and Reviews
As with any other part of the organisation, it is important to review and evaluate your HR function to ensure it is meeting objectives. Using proven methodologies and processes, we can conduct reviews and audits of your HR strategic and policy framework, as well evaluating any HR initiatives, services and programmes you may deliver.

Transition and Issues Management
There may be times when you require the services of a senior HR professional - for a fixed period to bridge a gap or vacancy, to manage a specific project, or to resolve a particularly complex or sensitive issue. Our consultants are all experienced senior managers who can fulfil these roles on a short-term basis.

Change Management
We have extensive experience in change management – including reorganisation, reviews, staff transfers, mergers and acquisitions. Employment Relations
Our consultants have many years experience in employment relations and bargaining, within both public and private sectors. We have an intimate knowledge of employment law – and were key advisers on the drafting of various laws, including the State Sector Act, Employment Contracts Act, and the current Employment Relations Act.
We can assist with any issues requiring consultation and negotiation with employees and their representatives; as well as collective negotiations with staff and unions including MECAs and MUCAs.

Organisational Development
To ensure you have the programmes in place to develop your people, we can advise you on a wide range of organisational development initiatives. These include: competency models and frameworks, talent management and management development, organisational climate and engagement surveys, performance management and career counselling.

Senior Executive Performance Management
Senior management requires a sophisticated approach to performance and reward matters. We have considerable expertise working with Boards, Trusts and CEOs who require an independent review of the performance of top management. We can provide discreet advice and support in our assessment of Tier 1 and 2 roles.

Operational HR Management
Implementing the ‘nuts and bolts’ of HR management will have a significant impact on the efficient running of an organisation. MartinJenkins provides advice and support on standard operational HR matters – including employment investigations, appointment reviews, preparation of documents (job descriptions, performance plans, employment agreements etc); as well as drafting HR policies and procedures.

Recruitment, Selection and Assessment
We specialise in the recruitment and assessment of high-level appointments and Tier 1 or 2 positions. We regularly work with organisations as a valued partner in the recruitment process, participating on interview panels and in appointment processes.
