Andrew is an experienced policy adviser and manager who can apply a strategic perspective to challenging policy problems to deliver high quality results for clients.
Andrew has broad experience as a policy professional and is a proven strategic thinker who has worked on a number of challenging and complex issues.
Andrew is a dynamic problem solver, skilled at effectively developing and managing key relationships. He has had experience working with multiple stakeholders, and understands how to use their perspective in the development of good policy.
He has strong understanding of legislative and regulation-making processes, as well as experience advising Ministers and supporting Cabinet processes.
Andrew also has an interest in new and innovative models of policy development, and how they can assist with working through difficult policy problems.
Andrew joined MartinJenkins in late 2016 from the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment. He has worked as both a policy adviser and policy manager in the area of petroleum and mineral mining. Most recently his work has focused on the intersection between climate policy and economic policy. He has also previously worked at the Ministry for the Environment.

- Leading MBIE’s thinking on climate change policy, with a particular focus on its relationship with the energy sector
- Designing models for better internal and external engagement on natural resource issues
- Working collaboratively with government agencies and the petroleum and mineral mining industries on the implementation of regulations under the Exclusive Economic Zone legislation
- Developing an international carbon markets strategy.
