Wellington Office

With a mind for rapid innovation, Jamie enjoys tackling new and challenging problems. She’s a generalist, and has a wide variety of analysis skills covering business requirements gathering, data extraction and modelling, analysis, reporting, and presentation.

Jamie joined us in 2022 from Oranga Tamariki, where she was a Principal Analyst in the Analytics and Insights team. There she worked across a variety of projects, supporting policy teams with Budget bids, finance teams with analysis and business cases, and various teams with business process mapping, cohort analysis, and modelling.

She has worked both in and outside government providing analysis and insights to leaders, including Ministers, CEs, senior leadership teams, and operational leaders on the frontline.

Jamie has a passion for working in organisations that have a frontline element – she loves helping them drive action and make real social change.

From Invercargill originally, Jamie has been in Wellington since 2017. In her downtime she enjoys reading, hanging out with friends, and all types of games.

Examples of Jamie’s work

  • She was Technical Lead for a multi-million dollar project to create an integrated reporting suite – this provides action-based performance reporting to frontline, regional, and national leaders

  • She provided analytical leadership and support across multiple budget bids – particularly Budget 2019, in which Oranga Tamariki received over a billion dollars of funding to overhaul the Care system

  • Jamie completed deep dives into Oranga Tamariki operations – here she combined case management, population, and wellbeing data with service/process mapping and an understanding of professional practice, in order to produce a comprehensive picture of the entire Care and Youth Justice systems

  • She built a new system to record enquiries for the aged care provider Bupa, including automated reporting and waitlisting capabilities for 55 sites. Jamie also created training resources and delivered training and ongoing support to frontline sites.
