Morgan Hanks

Morgan is an experienced policy professional with proven project management, stakeholder engagement, research and analytical skills. She is a people person and passionate about effective communication, problem solving, and building strong relationships.

Morgan has experience working in the public and non-government sectors in New Zealand and the Pacific, where she has applied her expertise to help clients identify problems, design solutions and effectively plan improvements.

Morgan joined MartinJenkins in July 2015 from the Cook Islands’ Ministry of Finance and Economic Management, where she was a development programme manager – her responsibilities included coordinating official development funding for the environment and climate change, Australian aid for disability, and all aid to the Cook Islands from the People’s Republic of China.

Prior to this Morgan was responsible for driving the development of the Cook Islands’ national statistics strategy. She previously worked for Statistics New Zealand, and was involved in the assessment of census data user needs, to contribute to a programme of transforming and modernising the New Zealand Census.

Morgan holds a Master of Development Studies from Victoria University of Wellington and Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from the University of Iowa.
