His understanding of government processes and priorities, and his knowledge of regulators and key decision-makers, is of real value in helping clients to work through complex policy and regulatory challenges.
Simon is skilled in bringing a user-friendly perspective to highly technical issues and is often called on to translate technical information into material useful for decision-making.
Simon joined MartinJenkins in 2014 from the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment. He has worked as a manager and analyst in energy policy and forecasting roles, has led projects in the petroleum and minerals sector, and provided analytical, leadership, project planning and relationship management support for decision-makers and industry stakeholders.

leading the review of the Crown Minerals Act and associated regulations
managing the preparation and publication of official energy supply and demand data and 25-year energy supply and demand forecasts
advising on alternative regulatory settings for the electricity sector, with a focus on competition and resilience
