About the role | Mō te tūranga

We are looking for an Economist to join our Finance, Evaluation and Economics team in Wellington. You’ll use your practical skills across economic analysis and modelling will supporting clients to make informed choices around investment, regulation and policy.

With our end to end delivery model, you’ll help win work and deliver it yourself, building strong client relationships and becoming a trusted advisor.

You’ll often be working with senior leaders, working on some of Aotearoa’s most complex investment, policy and regulatory challenges.

About you | Mōu

In response to growing demand, we are looking to increase our talented team of financial and economic service line professionals.

We are particularly keen in meeting candidates who have | E tino pīrangi ana mātou ki ngā kaitono:

  • experience with cost-benefit analysis, modelling, econometrics, economic impact analysis, business case development and spatial analysis;
  • experience with Excel and ideally other analytical platforms such as R;
  • experience in infrastructure or resource management (helpful but not required);
  • excellent judgement, empathy and strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • at least seven years’ experience in economic analysis, along with an aptitude for client-focused work;
  • a tertiary qualification, preferably in economics or a related field;
  • strong empathy for upholding the values of tikanga Māori.
