Senior promotions highlight market growth
Reflecting its recent expansion and growing market prominence, professional services firm MartinJenkins made three significant internal promotions in late 2019. Managing Director Allana Coulon said:
“We are thrilled to see to see these talented staff progressing their careers with us, and congratulate them on their promotions . We’re proud to have attracted some of New Zealand’s top talent and to support them to grow professionally.”
Founded in Wellington in 1993, MartinJenkins has expanded to more than 60 staff, and now has offices in Auckland and the Waikato. Allana Coulon pointed to the importance of the firm’s culture of excellence as a foundation for its growth:
“Our people deliver great results for our clients. We see our firm’s mission as helping make New Zealand a better place, and I’m humbled to see the difference each one of our consultants makes through supporting our clients on many important and exciting projects.”
Tom Gott, Principal Consultant – A specialist on operational performance and organisational improvement
Tom works closely with our clients’ boards and management teams to achieve significant improvements in governance and operational performance and to achieve strategic breakthroughs. His knowledge and insights and his calm, unflappable manner are highly appreciated and sought after.
Tom has been with MartinJenkins since 2009. His promotion to our Executive team as a Principal Consultant reflects his wealth of experience as a trusted senior advisor to public-sector clients in core departments, Crown entities and statutory agencies.
Jason Leung-Wai, Principal Consultant – A specialist in economic and regional development
Jason supports clients to design and implement economic development strategies, often with a regional focus. He understands how organisations can encourage growth or change that supports positive outcomes for their communities. His work frequently involves developing regional and industry profiles and preparing economic impact analyses for industries, events and infrastructure.
Jason joined us in 2013 after lengthy experience in an economic research consultancy and, before that, the Ministry of Economic Development. His promotion to our Executive team recognises his deep experience and his outstanding work for our clients on projects of significance for Aotearoa.
Andrew Horwood, Senior Consultant – A specialist in policy and regulatory work
Since joining us in early 2018 Andy has impressed by successfully applying his skills in regulatory analysis, his intimate knowledge of the public policy and regulatory environments, and his close understanding of the perspectives of ministers and government agencies.
Before joining the firm, Andy worked as Private Secretary in the office of the Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs in 2016 and 2017. There he provided high-quality advice and managed a complex range of relationships and risks.
Andy’s recent promotion to Senior Consultant at MartinJenkins reflects the outstanding work he has done for the firm – this includes co-leading a review of New Zealand’s sport integrity arrangements at Sport NZ, supporting the Treasury’s advice to Select Committee on the Overseas Investment Amendment Bill, and mustering Budget bids for the Ministry of Education.
