Working together towards regional economic growth

MartinJenkins completed the Tai Poutini West Coast Growth Study, identifying key opportunities to sustainably grow jobs and incomes on the West Coast.

The study was launched at Arahura marae in Hokitika by Economic Development Minister Steven Joyce, Transport Minister Simon Bridges, Māori Development Minister Te Ururoa Flavell and Communications Minister Amy Adams, with Minister Joyce recognising this as “a unique opportunity for the local community and business leaders to work alongside central government and commit to an action plan to grow the region.”

The study was commissioned by the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment and the Ministry for Primary Industries and is a part of central government’s Regional Growth Programme.

MartinJenkins has now delivered four of the five studies underpinning action plans in the Regional Growth Programme and is also responsible for supporting the development of an action plan that ensures the opportunities identified in the West Coast study will be implemented.

These studies highlight our capability and what we can deliver in terms of economic development.
