Nicky Hunn
Nicky is an economist and respected public policy advisor, whose range of skills and attention to detail provide clients with a safe pair of hands to guide policy initiatives from conception to delivery.
Nicky has extensive experience in programme management and economic and financial analysis in both public and private sectors. She has deep knowledge of Crown governance and monitoring practices, and has worked closely on the establishment of several new entities, including serving in executive roles during the start-up period.
She also has experience in preparing business cases and accountability documents, and project managing policy development and implementation.
Nicky has worked with MartinJenkins since 2004. Before then she had worked in the Crown Company Monitoring Advisory Unit, as an economist for a merchant bank, and economic advisor to the Minister of Finance.
Since joining us Nicky has worked on assignments across a range of sectors, including health, science and innovation, and building and housing.
Examples of Nicky's work
- Policy advice on the establishment of Callaghan Innovation as a new Crown entity, and acting as General Manager, Strategy and Governance during its establishment phase
- Programme management and policy support for the implementation of primary health care reforms, including innovative contracting arrangements to support integrated care delivery
- Advice on governance and capital issues relating to the establishment of the Lincoln Hub
- Programme management and policy support for the development of Fast Forward (the forerunner to the Primary Growth Partnership), and acting as Executive Director following establishment.
