Evaluation & Research
We have a strong track record of providing evaluation and research services to the public and not-for-profit sectors. We design our research to generate rich insights – we ask the right questions and we ask the right people.
We are not afraid to give advice: we draw clear evaluative conclusions, based on robust evidence. We are known for delivering reports that are pragmatic and relevant to the needs of public policy makers and service providers.
All-of-Government provider: MartinJenkins is a registered provider of consultancy services in the All-of-Government (AoG) procurement scheme for Business and Finance services – as of December 2016.
-
Tailored services
thWe don’t use off-the-shelf approaches or methodologies, and instead tailor our services to each client’s particular requirements. We draw on an extensive toolkit of qualitative and quantitative methods – including in-depth interviewing, action research, questionnaires, literature reviews, and analysis of complex data.
-
Culturally responsive approach
thMartinJenkins recognises the importance of culturally responsive research. We strive to design research that integrates cultural knowledge, prior experiences, and diverse community needs. We have extensive experience conducting research with Māori and Pasifika, and have also worked with migrants and refugee groups.
-
Evaluation frameworks
thWe develop frameworks to inform our designing of evaluations of complex initiatives, high-level strategies and operational programmes. These frameworks include theories of change, intervention logics, monitoring frameworks and performance indicators.
-
Collaborative approach
thA hallmark of our work is our collaborative style – we help our clients build their own capability, and we work alongside them to support continuous improvement through providing them with rapid, real-time feedback.
